ha! thanks- I fully appreciated your article because I often stop and think, "is this for real?" Especially the whining- I mean one on one, in a calm, attentive, stable environment, my kids are great but when they turn, OMG...I'm prepping myself for a new "Parenting on Track" course to reel em back in- except I HAVE to wait until January 2...there's just no way I'd succeed right now!

Ha ha ha. Your link came up on my blog post and I found this. If it's any consolation, it does get better. Just when I start to feel guilty for now plying my kids with gifts year round Christmas comes and then I am once again validated that too much stuff makes for cranky kids. It's 6:45am now, and screw them! I'm enjoying the tree by myself. I have about two minutes. I hear footsteps. Oh, well. Hang in there! Enjoyed your writing very much (and not just because of my article link - LOL.)
